THE BEST HIKING DESTINATION IN KENYA

The Aberdare Range is the third-highest elevation in Kenya, located north of Nairobi, in Nyandarua County. t forms part of the eastern rim of the Great Rift Valley. From its peaks, one can spot Lake Naivasha and the Mau Escarpment at a distance. The highest peak is Mount Satima while the ranges second highest peak is Mount Kinangop. The Aberdare is known around the world because the reigning Queen Elizabeth ‘went up the tree lodge a princess and came down a Queen’.
The range has a diverse eco-system made up of subalpine vegetation in the moorlands, humid; evergreen forest in the dry northern and western slopes and sub-montane forests.
